Welcome to The Barn at Birkwood, Wakefield’s premier space for training, events, and business gatherings. Nestled in a tranquil setting yet just minutes from key transport links, our state-of-the-art facility offers a dynamic environment designed to inspire and connect.
Meet Mark and Sally Ramskill – 4th generation farmers who took a bold leap into Construction Training back in 2005. What started as a diversification has blossomed into a nationally recognised company, growing far beyond its roots.
With success came expansion, and in May 2024, they proudly opened a brand-new, purpose-built training centre – a project fuelled by passion, meticulous planning, and serious investment.
But they didn’t stop there! Always spotting new opportunities, Mark and Sally are now opening the doors of their bespoke space, ‘The Barn at Birkwood’, inviting both familiar faces and new clients to hire their beautifully designed rooms.
Big ideas, bigger spaces – and a warm welcome waiting for you.
This project was part-funded by the UK Government through the West Yorkshire Rural England Prosperity Fund, part of the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
